Today has been a busy day. Started the morning with our host families, learning French and getting acquainted after our late arrival last night. Then attended a fundraiser for a local Rotary Club- Val Balair. While we were there, we met Rotary District 7790's governor, Norman Angell. In addition, we got to meet several exchange students from countries around the world, like Denmark, Mexico, and Chile.
After the brunch, Mario, one of the host families in Quebec City, took us on a tour of the city. We started in the Old City, driving through the cobblestone streets, visiting Notre Dame des Victoires, and seeing the Chauteau Frontenac for the first time. Then, Mario took us to see the Montmorency Falls, a beautiful waterfall that is nearly 100 feet taller than Niagara Falls. Lastly, Mario took us all to get a treat of some ice cream.
We then returned to our host families for a delicious homecooked meal. Tomorrow will be our first vocational day, where we all visit occupations similar to our own in the states. Stay tuned for an update on tomorrow as well as pictures from today.
