A quick Update on Our Trip

After staying at Citi Joie for the night, our Club Quebec East chauffer, Stephan, took us to our next club- Val-Belair. Club Val-Belair treated us to breakfast, which is dejuener in Quebecoise. After eating breakfast, we gave our presentation to the club. As seen above, we exchanged banners following the presentation and the meeting was adjourned. As always, the rotary members treated us well and asked us many questions about our lives in the US.

Following the club meeting, we went to L'Ancienne-Lorrette, a suburban city to Quebec City. Members of the L'Ancienne-Lorrette Rotary Club took us on a quick tour of the city, which included visiting a wonderful clock that Rotary donated to the city next to the city's famous twin-spired church.

Then we went for a tour of Universite Leval, Canada's oldest and one of it's largest universities. First, we were led through the Medical Building by our chauffer's for the day, in which one of them teaches Nursing. After that, we visited the football stadium, the indoor hockey stadiums (yes, plural), and an olympic sized pool. Fun fact, Leval's Canadian college football team is the best in the nation. Rogue et Or!

Following the tour, we made our to Le Bonne Entente, a wonderful hotel where Rotary District 7790's Conference is being held. We attended the first day of the conference, with a wonderful dinner followed by a powerful presentation by Veronique Denys on climbing the 7 highest summits on each continent, including Mt. Everest.

Now it's time for bed to rest up for our big presentation tomorrow! Bonne Nuit!
