Last GSE Team Meeting
Saturday, March 28th we had our last official meeting to make final preparations for our trip. Two big items were on the docket. First, we had to take a group photo. As you can see, it was a great success. Have no fear, we have a more formal photo!
Secondly, we wanted to review our presentation. Please pray for us as we will be giving our presentation in French. Thankfully, we had Daynel, a French teacher, to guide us and give us some direction. She provided helpful insight and was a great resource in helping to prepare us for our trip in a few short weeks.
Finally, we finished our final preparations for brochures, business card design, and host family gifts.
Special thanks goes out to team member, Jessie Owens, for all of the hard work she has put in to putting our presentation together. This was no easy task! We would also like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Johnson for their support, coffee, and snacks that they have provided during our team meetings. Once again, a big thanks to Joe and the Salem United Methodist Church for allowing us to use their facility over the past few months.

GSE team trip to 7570's District Conference
We had the pleasure to attend Rotary District 7570's Conference at Homestead Resort on March 14. We were able to watch last year's GSE team's presentation, which gave us an excellent preview of what we could expect from our GSE trip. Their team talked about meeting amazing people and learning a lot about Australian culture and vocational differences.
In addition, we were able to watch the inbound Canadian team's presentation and learn a little bit about life in Quebec, Canada. After their presentation, we were able to meet with their team: Gilbert, Richard, Yves, & Mario. Some of our members are going to be staying with the inbound Canadians during our stay in Ville de Quebec.
Lastly, we had the great pleasure of introducing ourselves and explaining the great benefits Rotary does for the community to a group of high school students that were attending the conference.
Once again, thank you Rotary for this great opportunity and we are looking forward to our GSE trip Canada!
